“He was great at building concepts and pushing us to think on our own, and his exams came straight from what he taught. His slides were super engaging and full of visuals, which was great for me as a visual learner. He kept the class interactive by asking random questions and was generally helpful. When grading, he was cooperative if a slight bump could save someone's GPA, but otherwise stuck to the marks. The only real downside was his habit of subtly criticizing students. For instance, there was a confident girl in our class whom he initially thought was really smart. But when her grades dropped, he called her out openly in the final class, naming her directly and saying she went from someone he had high hopes for to among his lowest ranking students. I really disliked how he handled that, and I don't know how she managed to smile through it because I would have cried! Otherwise, he is a very good teacher and you can learn a lot from him.”
