“Dr. Saira Arif is genuinely one of the best teachers I have had in my academic life. I studied Photochemistry with her during my MS, and she was also my supervisor. Her command of the subject and way of explaining difficult concepts are excellent. I still remember our first Photochemistry quiz. I had always been a topper, but that quiz humbled me badly! 😂 It had 10 questions with A, B, and C parts, and I could hardly figure out one answer, which itself felt 50/50. I thought I was completely screwed. 😂 Ironically, I ended the semester with a 4.0 GPA overall, including a 4.0 in her subject. Beyond teaching, she was incredibly supportive and never unnecessarily pressured me. She was more like a friend or a mother than just a supervisor. She even gave me rides back to my hostel and once invited me to a party at the teachers' café—a place I probably would never have seen otherwise! She is humble, friendly, positive, and always smiling. Truly grateful to have had her as my teacher”
